Your server is unresponsive, showing errors, or completely offline. Here's what to do right now to minimize damage and get back online fast.

Can other people in the office access the server? If yes, it's likely your workstation — not the server. Try a different computer.
Check the physical server (if accessible)
Look for blinking lights, error codes on the display, or unusual sounds (clicking, beeping). Take a photo of any error messages.
Document what happened before the crash
Was there a power outage? Did someone install something? Were there Windows updates running? This helps us diagnose faster.
Call us immediately
Reach our team at (587) 318-0019. We can often start remote diagnosis within minutes if the server has remote management capabilities.
Don't repeatedly power-cycle the server. Multiple hard shutdowns can corrupt data and make recovery harder.
Don't attempt to rebuild or restore from backup yourself unless you're trained. Incorrect restoration can overwrite good data.
Don't ignore it and hope it comes back. Some server failures worsen over time (failing hard drives, overheating).
Don't disconnect storage or remove drives. If there's a RAID array, pulling a drive can cause catastrophic data loss.
We connect remotely (if possible) or guide you through diagnostic steps by phone. Most server issues can be identified within 30 minutes.
Is it a software crash (often fixable in hours), hardware failure (may need parts), or data corruption (backup restoration needed)? We'll tell you straight.
If the server can't be repaired in place, we restore your systems from backup — either to repaired hardware or a temporary cloud environment to get you operational fast.
Once you're back online, we investigate why it happened and implement monitoring or redundancy to prevent recurrence.
Prevent this from happening again. Proactive server monitoring catches issues before they become emergencies. Our managed IT service includes 24/7 monitoring, automated alerts, and maintenance.
